• Serve as in-house consultant in Quality Engineering and Lean/ Six Sigma methods for the Office of Performance Improvement. This includes “pop-in” questions on statistics, data collection, graphical analysis, etc. for engineers, analysts and clinicians, as well as more in-depth consultation.• Create training for our 9 day UT System Clinical Safety and Effectiveness course, specialized courses in applied statistics for our analysts, specialized (on-line) Minitab training for clinicians, et.al.• Mentor employees to improve their statistical and quality improvement literacy.*Expertise in writing federal grants.

Co-taught corporate engineers and managers in the Association of Energy Engineers body of knowledge topics and proctored the 4-hour certification exam for Energy Managers.

• Faculty member of the Industrial and Systems Engineering department. Develop and instruct four graduate and/or undergraduate courses per year in topics including:--- Statistical Quality Control, Design of Experiments for Engineers/Scientists,Quality Mgt, Industrial Energy Management, Facilities Planning/ Mat'l Handling, Work Design & Human Factors.• Taught and directed graduate student applied research, including Outreach Engineering Management Masters students from top manufacturing companies around the state.• Oversaw and evaluated experiential internship and coop education programs of the department.*Directed activities of the UF-Industrial Assessm't Ctr, including directing energy assessments of manufacturing facilities around the state of Florida. Funded by US Dept of Energy.

Led development and start-up activities for the SPC program involving over 1200 machines and processes. Managed eight employees in the customization of SPC charting and reporting to meet specific customer requirements. Assisted with the evolution of customized SPC software, and interfaced with Manufacturing and Engineering personnel in coordinating use of SPC data as a decision-making tool. Developed and presented training for operators, engineers and managers.

Directed the program management activities for a 2 year $500,000 U.S. Army broaching optimization project. In addition to scheduling and budget responsibilities for this project, also served as Lead Statistical Analyst, developing innovative exp’l designs. Served as technical liaison for U.S. Army presentations and industry-wide technology transfer activities.Implemented quality system oriented programs and served as the Quality Assurance representative in the inter-departmental Value Management program. Designed the division’s Cost of Quality system in compliance with Mil Q-9858A (similar to ISO9000). Developed and coordinated the start-up of the division’s Self-Audit system, and constructed and taught the associated training program. Wrote standard procedures for the Quality and Manufacturing departments.

Developed and led the internal quality audit program for automotive customers. Assisted in the implementation of SPC throughout the plant and taught SPC to operators, engineers and managers. Performed process investigations involving extensive use of Statistical Analysis System (SAS) mainframe software for analysis. Drafted various procedures and work instructions for both Quality Assurance and Manufacturing.
