I continue to work with clients who have struggled with mood disorders, addiction recovery (substance abuse, co-dependence), post abortion recovery, life transitions and relational issues. In addition, I incorporate the elements of spirituality & faith for those individuals who are interested in exploring this aspect.I provide counseling to those examining the status of their intimate relationships. This can vary from enrichment needs, to reconciling painful events as well as the options of separation &/or divorce. I believe that support during these times can allow for clarity of thoughts, feelings & needs allowing communication within the decision-making process.The foundation of my therapy consists of CBT & Family Systems within a Client Centered framework. Brainspotting is the technique utilized for a traumatic or negative event that continues to disrupt one's relational dynamics &/or self-esteem. For couples, I incorporate skills/concepts from the Gottman Method, RLT & EFT. I perceive all people as resilient individuals who are physical, spiritual, mental, emotional and social beings who impact & are impacted by the environment and others around them. My hope is that my clients can develop a sense of self-compassion, move into a place of self-acceptance, feel empowered to identify & move towards their needs.
