With over 20 years’ experience in public health research and evaluation, I have worked in a variety of program contexts and have worked with a diversity of stakeholders. Much of my experience has been evaluating programs that work to improve population health through education, increasing access to health services, and reducing health disparities. I take a participatory approach to evaluation and work closely with stakeholders to build evaluation capacity. By actively involving program stakeholders in the evaluation process, I ensure that evaluation objectives and methods align with program goals and useful and informative results are produced. I have developed comprehensive evaluation plans for organizations implementing direct service programs, workforce training programs, and policy and systems change initiatives. I believe my role as an evaluator is to work with program stakeholders to help them learn more about their program, to design evaluations that will produce meaningful results, and to present findings in a user-friendly manner.I hold a bachelor of science degree from Michigan State University and a master of science degree from the University of Washington.
