  • Cnrs, Geosciences Rennes
Research Engineer In Numerical Modeling Of River Erosion
Cnrs, Geosciences Rennes Feb 2022 - Present
    Rennes, Bretagne, France
I use numerical models to analyze how the width of a river is set and evolves, by varying parameters like flow rates and sediment concentrations.Software Eros based on the precipiton method.(https://agupubs.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1002/2016JF004156).
  • Itasca Consultants S.A.S. - Géoscience Rennes - Cnrs
Ph.D. Student In Numerical Modeling Of Fracture Networks Hydrology.
    Itasca Consultants S.A.S. - Géoscience Rennes - Cnrs Jan 2018 - Jun 2021
    Rennes, Bretagne, France
Ph.D. funded by a private/public scholarship (CIFRE) by the company Itasca Consultants S.A.S. in collaboration with Geosciences Rennes laboratory. The work takes place in the research group "Fractory" (https://fractorylab.org/).Title of the thesis: "Sealing in fracture networks, models and hydrological consequences". Summary of the work:- Core-log data analysis of the future deep nuclear waste repository of Forsmark (Sweden). Study of the distribution of sealed and reactivated fractures at the site scale. Analysis of the mechanisms of this distribution: origins of filling materials, stresses and fluid pressure.- Assessment of the hydrological consequences of different distributions of sealing in Discrete Fracture Networks models. DFNLab software (https://fractorylab.org/).- Analysis of correlations between fractures properties (location, minerals, open/sealed, stresses) using Randoms Forests algorithms.- Development of the Graph tool in the DFNLab software, to optimize flow numerical solving in fracture models (publication : https://journals.aps.org/pre/abstract/10.1103/PhysRevE.102.053312).

    Université De Rennes 1 Sep 2019 - May 2020
    Rennes, Bretagne, France
Teaching contract as part of the Ph.D. thesis (40h).Topic: "Physics of groundwater flow". Tutorial classes and practical work (field and numerical modeling).
  • Itasca Consultants S.A.S.
Master Thesis Project In Mechanical Numerical Modeling
    Itasca Consultants S.A.S. Feb 2017 - Aug 2017
    Lyon, France
Engineering internship and research master project.Title of the thesis: "Effective mechanical properties of fractured rocks: which effect of preexisting fractures on elastic properties and on stress variability in crystalline rocks?" Summary of the work:- Numerical loading of fractured Synthetic Rock Masses (SRM). Discrete Fracture Networks with varying mechanical properties (focus on shear elastic strength). Software 3DEC (https://www.itasca.fr/software/3dec). - Theoretical analysis of effective elastic properties of the fractured rock mass (Young modulus, fracture strength) in the case of a unique fracture, and in the case of a network of interacting fractures.- Analysis of the stress and displacements variability in the numerical rock mass. Measure of the stress "seen" by each fracture in the network.
