National Outreach Manager

• Oversee the success and growth of Defenders of Wildlife Campus Club network by providing guidance and resources on legislative priorities and campaigns, cultivating members of the network and leaders of individual clubs, and providing resources for the development of clubs and students • Work with the Director of Outreach to identify and implement strategies to meaningfully engage new and diverse demographics in the fight to stop extinction and protect our public lands such as the faith community, indigenous voices, veterans, youth activists, and the LGTBQIA+ community• Educate and mobilize Defenders’ donors, members, and e-mail activists nation-wide with an emphasis on using various organizing tools like Phone2Action, Engaging Networks, Social Media resources, Grassroots Lobbying, and others• Communicate and cultivate relationships with Biodiversity Ambassadors in all states besides CO and AZ• Implement congressional issue accountability strategies in collaboration with the National Outreach Team• Work with coalition partners to advance federal campaigns and create sustainable relationships• Work in close coordination with Defenders’ national outreach team and staff located in assigned region as needed to further legislative and campaign goals as well as build out the campus club network• Stay current on legislative and administrative issues of priority interest to Defenders• Assist Director with administrative tasks as needed
