I help build international friendships through the CETUSA high-school global exchange program. I supervise and evaluate student/family relationships in the Northern Colorado area. I help both inbound and outbound students manage risk through U.S. Department of State updates and Visa-specific program assessments.In order to make the placements I research available schools, recruit host families, and thoughtfully match them with students from 43 countries around the world. Once per year, CETUSA offers cultural enhancement programs where we travel overseas to learn more about the cultures with which we work. It's a great benefit!

I creates and produced Instructor Led Training and eLearning training modules to keep Community Coordinators and Managers current at the non-profit Council for Educational Travel, USA. As part of my work I administer the Litmos Learning Management System for a field of about 300 learners. I enjoyed being at the forefront of bringing CETUSA into eLearning through the Litmos LMS.

I've recently completed Stepparenting the Grieving Child, a guidebook for stepparents joining a family where a parent has died. This work provides both realism and hope for the stepparents who need tips and inspiration. Prior to publication, I built my social media platform by blogging, creating a mailing list and website, and by establishing social media presence through Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn. Stepparenting the Grieving Child was a finalist in the 2017 International Book Awards, Parenting and Family category.

I am an independent writer and program/project manager. I have a B.A. in Communication from Stanford University and have applied my skills for twenty+ years in communications project management, article and proposal writing, customer research, event planning, PR, project evaluation, staff supervision, and training.

Planning the New York City press launch, "SoftBench Takes Care of Business" became a highlight of my PR management experience. I also trained executives from HP's workstation and software divisions on public relations value, savvy, strategies, and tactics. I researched and wrote press kits and recruited product evaluators from the computer publishing industry to write favorable reviews of HP hardware and software. In marketing communications I managed hundreds of projects from initial contact with the SME through design, delivery, and outcome evaluation.
