My role was to serve as the company spokesperson both internally and externally. Highlights include garnering more than $100 million dollars worth of positive PR for the company. Accomplishments: Developed Art Van TV (AVTV), an internal television network, to connect and inform 4,500 team members with executive messages, product information, and motivational inspiration. Produced monthly executive videos, and quarterly Facebook Live Town Halls, which improved employee engagement three-fold. • Enhanced brand awareness through special community events. ► Re-introduced the brand to Grand Rapids with a Ladies Night Out event that attracted 1,000 into the showroom in below-zero temperatures, and resulted in 10% sales growth. Duplicated the event, erasing the statistic that women visit a furniture store only once in three years.• Launched corporate giving program to give $1 million in $5,000 to $50,000 grants to non-profit organizations for 50th anniversary celebration. Obtained extensive media coverage through long-term media relationships. Issued a Charity Challenge to grant $100,000 to highest fundraising non profit. ► .• Initiated a comprehensive plan to collect and donate six million bottles of water to respond to the Flint water crisis. Drew on extensive media relationships around the state to generate news coverage for the collection. • Promoted a Chicago grand opening “Let it Snow” campaign, publicized through media and social media posts. New Year’s Day purchases would be refunded it if snowed three inches on Super Bowl Sunday. Obtained nationwide media coverage when snowfall exceeded 10 inches. ► Supplemented market introduction with events for partners, vendors, influencers, and special guests, featuring singers Jennifer Hudson, Andy Grammer, Jim Belushi, and The Four Tops.• Revitalized and rebranded Art Van Santa Parade to an event that attracted 40,000 parade goers and television coverage.
