As the oldest of six children, I learned early on about leadership and collaboration. Growing up in Ohio, I also had the benefit of Midwestern values - family, hard work, integrity and achievement. With this foundation, I left Youngstown to accept a scholarship to the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in NYC.Good thing I was grounded - since the journey was lively! No, I didn't stay in the theatre (I enjoyed eating regularly.) I did meet my husband at the AADA, and the two of us eventually got "real" jobs. Starting as a programmer at a commercial bank, I was ultimately promoted to VP, Cash Mgmt. Operations, with responsibility for more than 200 people in three states. I especially enjoyed the opportunity to develop high-performance teams through coaching and peer advisory. When banking ops relocated to PA, I transitioned from commercial banking to commercial staffing. As head of Nat'l Accounts, and a $400MM portfolio of strategic clients, I learned to build solutions, anticipate client needs and practice the art of leading people in remote locations. Later on, I served as President of a legal staffing co. in Manhattan and forged a strategic alliance that doubled revenues.After 15 years in staffing, I was now seeking a different kind of change, this time to servant leadership. I want to use my knowledge and experience to the benefit of others. Vistage invited me to be a peer advisory board chair. It seemed as though I had spent my entire professional life preparing for this experience. Game on. Today I enjoy working with three groups of CEOs/Owners and their key executives - and I'm starting a fourth group. Let's get to know one another.
