The mark platforms varied from site to site and with each up-grade including any retro fitting and service work we preformed in field. Full service work on all units and training on this; 3 month, 6 month, 1 year. Quality Assurance inspections for all units when in service and at construction site, lay-down yards, rail-head, and port authority. Gearbox changes on the ground and in the air with full hub stabbing. Generator pull and replacement down tower and up tower. Working on new construction site at the rail-head; in conjunction with freight logistics for in-bound and out-bound wind components from the train to semi trucks. Assisting with traffic and loads with cranes for proper safety procedures and practices. Data recording and inspection prior to full commissioning. Installation of VPN networking, SCADA, back-end portal, and Ethernet to turbine for communications to main operations systems. Parameter upgrades to main EPROM for local needs. Troubleshooting of all errors found when in field with VPN portal assistance using Vestas-online at the turbine. On-site building of SCADA from old platform systems to T1 line with fiber operational systems via Cisco programming over the phone. Construction of the Medicine Bow wind farm with a multi-technology platform systems integration of Vestas and Gamesa main frame systems for the up-grades on the generation platforms. Assisted with the over-turning and management of the crews on site daily and corporate offices for project operations during building of Medicine Bow for full length of the project as Site Manager.

While traveling to various wind turbine sites, I along with my fellow travel tech member teams performed a multitude of job functions on the wind turbines at the job sites. Working on GE-ESS and LSS I performed full walk downs on a 5 year inspection for Quality Assurance inspection, full 3 point boroscope inspections with full retrospective photo and video array inspection for internal field diagnosis on failure analysis. Full gearbox exchange in field with crane and rigging on the GE-ESS and GE-LSS model along with upgrades and reconfigurations from a tropical to an arctic system in the field, full brake down of the hub assembly, at the same time full inspection on the blades while in the air as well as when the units where on the ground for proper inspection of the composition of the fiber glass and megging on the copper flex. Internal gear ring inspection during the Quality Assurance inspection to ensure the wear on the teeth had remained within proper specifications due to rubbing alliances. Trouble shooting of SCADA systems while on site when systems were not operating within proper parameters, re-installation of SCADA systems when needed for turbine to reboot and reimplementation of current site parameters per the turbine as needed. On site third party Quality Assurance inspections on the Mitsubishi Mark-100 series turbines for final inspections prior to turn over during buy out of site locations within the Wyoming regions. Inspections of the SCADA systems as well as general knowledge of the parameters of the reinterpretations of the settings to the systems for the turbines when needed for the turbines on site. Traveling to multiple sites for change out of gear box bolts of the GE systems for up tower retro fitting. Oil changes of the GE gearboxes with the two sage oil change in use of the Sage-Oil change down tower oil rig. I was trained on the large systems for tear-down on the steam turbines and coil for union and non-union in TX, CA and GA.

For V82; I administered the 1303 Yaw Bearing rebuilding in the air with a two person man basket as well as down tower. Blade tip repair along with megger testing on site do to blade CIM. Gearbox changes on the ground and in the air with full hub stabbing. Generator pull and replacement down tower and up tower. Working on new construction site at the rail-head; in conjunction with freight logistics for in-bound and out-bound wind components from the train to semi trucks. Assisting with traffic and loads with cranes for proper safety procedures and practices. Transport and inspection at end off loading. Data recording and inspection prior to full commissioning. Installation of VPN networking, SCADA, backend portal, and Ethernet to turbine for communications to main operations systems. Parameter upgrades to main EPROM for local needs. V80 full turn over at the end of service contract to customer, troubleshooting of all errors found when in field with VPN portal assistance using Vestas-online at the turbine. V90 extensive training inside and outside classes for a specialist level in multiple areas of this turbine. Gearbox exchange with the Danish gearbox team and training for in-depth troubleshooting on mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, and networking end run issues. In field boroscope training and hands on training with the top boroscope expert in Vestas for the V90 for gearboxes and generators. Transformer pulling of full unit with transport at port for major component change out at different site location.
