Work with a 4 member team to create a report containing an overview of the health and wellness needs of the Haven Homeless shelter guest population, an evaluation on how well these needs are being addressed by the Haven and Good Neighbor Clinic and a series of recommendations to enhance health improvement efforts. Report was delivered to key stakeholders and the implementation of recommendations in the spring was under discussion.

Uganda

Conducted surveys and focus group SWOT analyses to determine baseline health needs of Bukakaire village in Uganda; Facilitated culturally appropriate community education sessions concerning HIV/AIDS, obstetric fistula, safe water and sanitation, malaria and family planning. Helped educate the village health team about these topics; Facilitated education sessions on safe water and hygiene in primary schools for over 1000 children; Organized a village wide push to construct proper sanitation facilities and a HIV/ malaria testing day; Contributed to a team report on village health needs, interventions conducted and recommendations for future interventions.
