I was responsible for current and future direction setting for digital services, content management and publishing across 50+ MBIE websites. This included web content strategy, user interface design, user experience advice, testing standards and the development ownership of digital channel strategy.I enabled the team to deliver fit for purpose digital services, content and advice. I was part of a leadership team of four, leading a team of 30 digital practitioners in roles ranging from advisors to specialists (including UX, accessibility and stack management).As part of my role I managed an enterprise-wide digital community of practice with ~300 members.

Senior project manager and work stream lead for the technical component of ‘Inspiring the Future’, a project to raise career aspirations in primary school children as part of the NZ Career System Strategy work programme.In this first phase of the project I supported the organisation with the selection of a vendor to deliver an online match-making tool. This application will connect schools with volunteers from the world of work, revolutionising the way in which young people get insights into exciting and unique careers and inspiring them to be ambitious. I also identified staffing needs and created a budget and indicative delivery timeline before handing over to internal staff for in-house delivery.

Advising the Office of the Chief Social Worker on strategic positioning of the Practice Centre, a tools and resources repository for social work practitioners (https://practice.orangatamariki.govt.nz). This initially included improving user experience and accessibility, developing a content strategy and style guide, establishing sustainable content management processes, as well as piloting IBM Watson WEX. It evolved to product ownership for a full redevelopment/redesign of the site.

Advising the Web and Mobile Portfolio Delivery team as a Content Strategist to prepare one of their websites for transition into the new Ministry for Children, Oranga Tamariki, which came into effect on 1 April 2017.This work included identifying potential to improve user experience and accessibility through content enhancements and metadata utilisation.

Product manager for various pilot work streams at Govt.nz. I worked with internal scrum teams that focused on improving cross-government access to information, mainly around these topics:- health and finances for older New Zealanders- births, deaths and marriages- courts related information. This work included project management and cross-agency stakeholder engagement in an environment transitioning from classic delivery approaches to Agile.

Review and redevelopment of Early Childhood Education (ECE) related web content for the Ministry of Education, to integrate two independent websites into the new sector portal Education.govt.nz.  This work included project management, audience analysis, user research and usability testing, information architecture development (tree testing), process development, as well as content restructuring and migration of ECE websites to CWP (Common Web Platform)/SilverStripe CMS.

Leading and organising projects from inception to completion, including coordination of staff and relationship facilitation within projects.Priority project was the development of an application for NZ Police to streamline workflows with another government agency.

My role as Team Leader Web Communications was disestablished as part of the merger of four government agencies into the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment. I continued to perform in my role as established within the Department of Building and Housing for a while, to ensure a smooth transition of Building and Housing related web projects and web content into the new entity. I was involved in various web related work streams within the Ministry, such as the Electronic Services Channels Strategy, Web Content Strategy and intranet redevelopment.

Management & enhancement of the Department of Building and Housing's web presence (internally and externally) and facilitation of cultural change towards client-centric online services. Development of online roadmap and digital strategy to ensure the web presence's capability meets business delivery needs as well as online users' expectations.I was also a member of the Web Standards Working Group led by the Department of Internal Affairs.
