Converted our prior native LAMP sites to Amazon EC2 (spring 2009)Added multiple test environments in using OpenVZ winter 2008-09) virtualization.June 2008 upgraded our 16M pgview /month servers from apache 1.3 and php4 to Apache 2.2 and php5. With effective caching addons (apc, memcached, etc ) we were able to reduce our system load by 80% and also reduce our page load time and the modifying of 4 critical dynamic php programs to appear static (this was not my area) from ten seconds/page to three.Wrote a content driven web server monitoring program in perl.May 2007, I Designed ,planned and executed a server farm move for 200 servers & 25 engineers over a 6 week period,spanning two locations and changing ISPs.
