Have enjoyed working in the electronic payment processing industry since 1996. In 2004, I purchased the assets of the company I was working for, and begin building the business.Prior experience includes sytems management of mainframe and WAN, contract negotiation, purchasing, collections, and sales.I sold warehouse and mail room automation equipment that could save time and money for companies. Complete end to end processing and service including our in-house help desk. We are able to sell and service anywhere in the US, but we focus in Kansas & the midwest. Supplies and equipment are also deployed from our office. I began in the sales force, but was not satisfied with the actions of former management, so I bought the company. Our mission is not to be the cheapest, but to be the best.We provide merchant services to many banks in the Kansas area as well as direct merchants throughout the United States. Banks look to us because the industry has gotten more complex over time and it is hard to keep up with the expertise necessary. Most banks also cannot justify the cost involved with registration with the card associations. Acumen is registered with Visa and MasterCard associations. Not everyone selling processing is registered, so buyer beware.Our merchant approach is quite different from those who use high pressure sales tactics and fuzzy math "savings". We survey your business processes. Many times we are able to suggest ways to save time and money over and above the actual processing costs. It is gratifying to be able to help the merchant, and certainly has our customers best interest as well.

ManagerMisc. Experience Apr 1984 - Jun 1995This is so historical but it does show the depth of experience. Over this period of time, I have held positions with the following credentials. Some were directly for a company, some were on contract basis.Credit Management - developed multi-state credit policies, trained sales personel, estimators, and accounts receivables in collection techniques.Establishment of WAN (long before plug-n-play) and training of staff in use. Most of the staff had never used a computer. Boy, does this make me seem ancient.Inventory Control/Purchasing- maintained all products in a warehouse where the average inventory turn was six times a year and contained several thousand skus. Not totally because of me, but because the warehouse manager and I worked out a great system, inventory of this magnitude was done in a half day.Warehouse/Mailroom Automation - sales of automation systems for warehouse and shipping areas, training of their use. Also did mailrooms - just liked the challenges of working with the warehouse better. Warehouse Liquidation - Using some of the above skills, was contracted to liquidate inventory for a company with over 40 computer stores. This included some outdated inventory, so sales to third world companies were involved. Additional inventory was added from other sources, so ownership of product also had to be carefully tracked.
