The Wimmera Emergency Management Team (WEMT) is a resource sharing program between four local Councils - Hindmarsh Shire, Horsham Rural City, Yarriambiack Shire and West Wimmera Shire. Together they cover over 78,000 acres.The WEMT joint initiative provides facilitation, research and investigation into Emergency Management to enable the Partner Councils to deliver emergency preparedness, response, relief and recover in a coordinated manner.
