I am a creative and analytical strategy leader and association executive, who has successfully represented industries on a global scale. My inquisitive nature led me to journalism early on and, for over two decades, has been a key asset in navigating needs and trendspotting. Each time I successfully launched a new program, rebranded an organization or strengthened a value, it was due to finding the sweet spot that needed nurturing or identifying a void to fill. Asking the right questions and listening to people’s stories is how I intend to support NAW's members and staff as we ensure distributors continue to evolve and strengthen. It is how I have managed and advised scores of associations, businesses and clients who solicited my advice to define their next chapter, and led to my role as respected industry spokesperson. Successfully breaking down silos, reinventing significance, turning disengaged members into strong advocates, building consensus and facing a global pandemic head-on has been extremely rewarding. Through it all the winning formula I apply is: • Make the right connections,• Rally the best teams, • Develop a decisive strategy and • Create a solid foundation of service value and financial strength.Robust organizations need to think like their for-profit members to remain relevant, sustainable and financially stable. Capable infrastructure and measurable milestones are vital to executing creative solutions and flexible responses. My ability to grow relevance and revenue is born within the data I and my teams gather, how well we strategize and budget around best tactics, and our ability to track progress with accountability. As a result, my insights on leadership and implementing innovative solutions are frequently requested by industry, association management and event management groups, and I am happy to be a speaker for your next event. I pride myself on being a life-long learner. I am as comfortable working with large multi-national leaders as I am with small family-owned businesses, and I interact easily with technical experts and academics or front-line operatives. My many years of international experience makes it easy to work with individuals and organizations from a variety of cultures and backgrounds, understanding their nuances and rallying them toward common objectives.Even in my spare time I am exploring or creating. That may be finding new jogging or hiking trails, traveling, trying unique food tours, or learning different art techniques.
