Experienced teacher, working as a Duration Head Teacher for the Head Start Program. Prior to working as a Head Teacher I spent 4.5 years working as a substitute teacher. I held a short term substitute teaching position for 6th grade science and mathematics in the Pine Richland School District during the 2015/2016 school year. During that same year I also worked in several other classrooms including: 2 reading support classrooms, another 6th grade Science/Mathematics classroom and a 6th grade ELA/Social Studies classroom. I hold a PA teaching certification for grades K-6, as well as, a private school nursery/kindergarten certification. During the 2013-2014 school year I was nominated by the Pine Richland School District, as the substitute of the year. I won overall for the state of Pennsylvania out of around 1,000 substitute. Through my experience's as a substitute teacher, I have worked with students of varying abilities in inclusive classrooms. I have successfully been able to manage classroom behaviors, teach/adapt lessons, communicate with all members of the staff, students and their families.Prior to working as a substitute teacher, I worked as a preschool teacher from 2006-2012 During my time teaching in preschool, I planned my weekly themes, daily lesson plans, and adapted these for my students varying abilities. I also created several bulletin boards, communicated with parents and staff daily.
