As a Social Work Intern at the UMB Student Pantry within the Intercultural Leadership & Engagement division of Student Affairs, I gained hands-on experience in providing social services to diverse student populations. I supported students facing food insecurity by coordinating resources, conducting intake assessments, and offering counseling and referral services.In parallel, my role as a Volunteer Analyst Specialist at the American Red Cross focused on enhancing support programs for military personnel and their families. Here are some key responsibilities and accomplishments from both roles:Collaborated with multidisciplinary teams to assess program effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.Conducted data analysis and generated reports to inform decision-making and program development.Developed and implemented strategies to recruit, train, and retain volunteers, ensuring seamless program delivery.Engaged with diverse communities to understand their unique needs and tailor services accordingly.Advocated for policies and initiatives that promote well-being and resilience among targeted populations.Built partnerships with external organizations and stakeholders to expand program reach and impact.These experiences have honed my skills in program evaluation, volunteer management, intercultural communication, and community engagement, shaping my approach to creating positive social change.
