I am currently a year 2 teacher at Coogee Public School in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney.

Cairnsfoot is a school for students with moderate to severe intellectual disabilities. I worked at Cairnsfoot when I first became accredited as a teacher. I was offered a full-time temporary contract for the following year, but had to decline as I was offered a permanent position elsewhere.

Bates Drive School is a School for Specific Purposes, which caters to children with a disability between the ages of 5-18. Within this role I perform the following duties:- Assisting teachers in the implementation of IEP's- Assisting children with personal care and feeding- Assisting children with the completion of school work- Lunch break and transport duty- Medication administration

- Conducting and implementing activities for children with special needs- Conducting outings outside of the center; including transportation- Assistance with personal care, feeding, and medication administration; including PEG Feeding- Team leader duties: micro-managing daily tasks, communicating with parents, first-hand management of incidences, and supporting and organising staff- Filling out paperwork as necessary – i.e. incident report forms- Entries into the Customer Management System; including shift reports
