Chief architect of a cutting edge leadership development program for the Town of Huntington; established in 1996 and still going strong (as of 2020). Additionally engaged in various leadership roles to establish the Leadership Huntington Foundation (LHF).Organizational development strategist. Initiated, implemented and evolved cutting edge (and only) Long Island community leadership development program. Orchestrated fund-raising campaign. Served as Executive Director and/or Chairman of the Board followed by an intensive two year period as Master Facilitator to expand, document and memorialize program curriculum and organizational development. Led with vision and creativity to establish the Huntington Township Chamber Foundation (HTCF):Raised all funds including creating, writing and successfully soliciting government, private and Foundation grants, sponsorships, mail campaigns as well as web-based donations. Initiated and managed major fund-raising event that rose over $250,000 in its 4th year. In 7 years, under my leadership, HTCF went from a budget of $25,000 to $800,000 Designed and implemented all functional systems of the HTCF (a start-up organization when I was hired as the first executive director) and its satellite programs including but not limited to financial, information management, staffing, fundraising, strategic and marketing plans and volunteer/intern programs to operate the organization. Created the format, wrote and/or managed the development of the content of all Public Relations materials for the media as well as brochures and a quarterly newsletter Mentored staff, volunteers and board members to utilize and develop their skills, experience and talents in service to the organization’s mission Led, directed and managed all HTCF economic development projects during start-up, implementation, and on-going operation including formation of public and private partnerships to initiate: WorkPlus a regional workforce development program; Dolan Family Health Center primary healthcare center for the uninsured or under-insured; Melville Dependent Care Consortium and the Village Green Child Care Center; state-of-the-art near site childcare for working parents; Working Families Assistance Fund (subsidized childcare for working parents in need).
