I am one of the founding Directors of Dobinson Davey Clifford Simpson Family Law Specialists (DDCS) and have practised exclusively in Family Law since 1992. I am an Accredited Specialist (NSW) in Family Law. I am the Chair of the Executive of the Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia and appreciative of the responsibilities and challenges of that position. The last several years have been an intense time of policy review and calls for change in family law - I have been privileged to work with the extraordinary FLS team on advocacy and outstanding CLE in family law. In Doyle’s Guide to Lawyers, I am noted as Canberra’s Market Leader in family law and as a leading family lawyer nationally. DDCS Lawyers has been consistently recognised by Doyles as a first tier family law firm in Canberra.After more than 28 years in family law, I am still passionate about being a family lawyer and find my work stimulating and rewarding. It is my great privilege to meet and work with many people who entrust me with supporting them to resolve complex issues in their lives.I am an experienced solicitor advocate and regularly appear in the Federal Circuit Court and the Family Court, including in final hearings. I recognise the important role of family lawyers in the "family law system" and the positive contribution we make to access to just and safe outcomes for families in crisis.What we do for our clients, often comes down to persuasion – using law, language (written and spoken) and all our skills as communicators, to achieve the best outcome for our clients.
