Responsible for the operational support of (230 plus) clinical applications in production today and for winding down the applications that will be replaced by the enterprise level implementation of Epic. This includes:• Digital Imaging - Spearheading the centralized support for Radiology, Cardiology, Digital Pathology, and the Vendor Neutral Archive (VNA) solutions. Ensuring optimal performance, centralization, and integration to enhance diagnostic capabilities.• Enterprise Document Imaging – support for the storage and retrieval of documents captured internally or provided from external sources, and support for the Release of Information (ROI).• Medical Device Information Systems – Support for the applications which are integrated to various biomedical equipment throughout the organization to capture diverse data points used by the clinicians to make informed decisions.• Departmental Application Support - Providing support for Critical Care Units, Anesthesiology, Pulmonary, and the Department of Medicine.• Radiation Oncology – Overseeing the non-research-related applications used by Radiation Oncology.• Clinical and Logistics, Agile Platform which consists of 11 teams and growing, responsible for the delivery of value-added products and Clinical Application Solutions. • Responsible for the transition and operational support of newly developed clinical applications.• Legacy Systems Support - Managing and winding down complex Pharmacy Information Technology, Lab Information Systems, Legacy Electronic Health Record (EHR), Legacy Epic (Optime, Anesthesia, and Scheduling), and Legacy Electronic Medical Record (EMR).

Responsible for leading 10 Clinical IT teams, across the enterprise, consisting of 11 campuses, 150 locations, and 54,000 clients. My responsibilities include the NYPH Legacy Electronic Health Record, Biomedical device strategy, and Infrastructure. - Manage a Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) team of 23 employees responsible for supporting the Columbia, Cornell, Allen, Lower Manhattan, Westchester, and Queens campuses- Implemented and support, Cerner Millennium (Clinical Lab), SafeTrace Tx (Blood Bank), Copath (Anatomical Path), Health Sentry (DOH Reporting), and Gajema (Outreach)- Created a new employee orientation and development program, complete with competencies to document and track the progress of each team member's professional development- Developed a Quality Management Program, that as a result has decreased the overall incidents reported by 40% over 2 years and maintain a 4.9 out of 5 overall client satisfaction rating. - Responsible for reviewing the regulatory requirements and for the creation of the LIS related procedures. Using Softech we document all LIS related answers and provide links to evidence- Mentor for the Lang Medical Youth Program- Mentor for the Inwood Early College Program

I managed the Copath application at the Cornell campus. Worked with Leica, to develop a cassette labeler interface, and with Cerner to set up synoptic reporting. I implemented Labtest, now known as Lifepoint as a pilot site, and worked closely with vendors like Elkay and Hilgrave to implement bridges to practice management systems, and EMR solutions. I installed a document imaging system called EDOCS used by client services to review practices orders, and manage add-ons. My last project was installing a specimen tracking systems called Gajema which is now owned by Cerner.

At Woodhull Hospital, I managed a team of 14 members in all aspects of technical and procedural support. Reviewed helpdesk statistics; created service level agreements; monitored phone calls; addressed conflicts, and performance issues; prepared agendas and held weekly team meetings. Provided feedback to members to help achieve and exceed performance objectives. Improved communications with local desktop analysts, and clientele, while accepting full responsibility for employee motivation, morale, and completion of performance reviews. I headed the change control committee and was responsible for reporting all scheduled and unscheduled system outages, their impact and corrective measures to hospital leadership.

As the sole custodian, I was responsible for supporting the Copath application for the Cornell, and Methodist campuses of NYP. I upgraded the production server from an RS6000 to an IBM B80, installed Dragon Naturally Speaking voice recognition, a fax server, and configured the Copath application so that medical staff could order special stains and recuts instead of submitting paper requests. I worked with Lab leadership to create SQL reports which were then used for the department’s statistics, quality assurance, and research. I created all of the SOP's and implemented new safeguards. As I result I was able to pass the internal system review performed by the hospital's security information officer.

Implemented Patient 1 HDS (EMR) at Metropolitan, Lincoln, and Harlem Hospitals while supporting Dentix, Copath, Rad-Plus, SMS, Cactus, and Unity. I was able to significantly improve the Cytology department’s turnaround time by creating custom templates, and implementing electronic signatures.

Worked to replace the CHC Lab system with Comed, which is now Copath as a pilot site. Built the tables, updated dictionary items, and validated the data and functionality of the new system. Created the training documents, and was responsible for training the clerical and medical staff on the new application.
