I implemented Labtest, now known as Lifepoint as a pilot site, and worked closely with vendors like Elkay and Hilgrave to implement bridges to practice management systems, and EMR solutions. I installed a document imaging system called EDOCS used by client services to review practices orders, and manage add-ons. My last project was installing a specimen tracking systems called Gajema which is now owned by Cerner.

I upgraded the production server from an RS6000 to an IBM B80, installed Dragon Naturally Speaking voice recognition, a fax server, and configured the Copath application so that medical staff could order special stains and recuts instead of submitting paper requests. I worked with Lab leadership to create SQL reports which were then used for the department’s statistics, quality assurance, and research. I created all of the SOP's and implemented new safeguards. As I result I was able to pass the internal system review performed by the hospital's security information officer.
