About Diba Torjani
Enthusiastic, determined, and hardworking individual with a BA in Psychology from UBC. Through my past work experiences, I've had the pleasure of working with Sun Life, the Alzheimer Society of B.C. and the Family Centered Practices Group which has allowed me to develop my communication and research skills. Through my work, I have also supported the creation of resources for individuals living with dementia and those advocating for their friends or family living with dementia. Additionally, through working as a behavioral interventionist, I have gained substantial experience in behavioral Psychology and working with children one-on-one. It is important to me to ensure a well-rounded lifestyle to help me grow professionally and personally. During my time at UBC, I have been involved with the biggest live music-community club, Blank Vinyl Project, and have moved up from my position as Events Executive to Artist Booking Director. Having been in this leadership position for 2 years, I have understood the importance of delegation and maximizing on existing skills.Outside of my professional and academic life, I am very passionate about music and art. I paint large canvases in my free time that I gift to my friends and hang up in my own home! You may find me playing the piano in a practice room on campus or slinging my guitar or ukulele with me on a sunny day.
