With over 35 years of experience in the fire and emergency services industry, I am the Executive Director of the National Fire Heritage Center (NFHC), a nonprofit organization that preserves and promotes the history and culture of the fire and emergency services in the United States. I am a Certified Logistics Section Chief, a key position in the Incident Command System that oversees the coordination and delivery of resources and services during emergency incidents. Throughout my career, I have applied my skills and knowledge in various domains, such as government, 911 services, emergency radio communications, disaster response, fire management, and emergency medical services (EMS). I have also authored multiple books on aerial apparatus and major fires in Maryland, demonstrating my passion and expertise for the fire heritage. At NFHC, I lead a diverse and talented team of archivists, researchers, educators, and volunteers who work together to preserve and share the legacy of the fire and emergency services with the public. My mission is to inspire and educate current and future generations about the rich and diverse history of the fire and emergency services in our nation.
