Dick Hillary is a member of Miller Johnson and has been practicing law since 1996. He is a commercial litigator. Mr. Hillary represents a wide variety of business entities and individuals, including hospitals, physician groups, child care organizations, large and small corporations, and individuals in all facets of litigation and regulatory compliance. Before joining Miller Johnson, Mr. Hillary served as law clerk for the Honorable William B. Murphy of the Michigan Court of Appeals. His specialty areas include Health Care Reimbursement, Behavioral Health Law, Professional Licensing Disputes, ERISA Litigation, Commercial Litigation, White Collar Crime and Regulatory Compliance, and Appellate Practice. Mr. Hillary is listed in “The Best Lawyers in America®” for Commercial Litigation. He is the co-author of the Attorneys Fees and Costs chapter of the Institute of Continuing Legal Education’s “Michigan Civil Procedure.” He has also served on the faculty of the Michigan Judicial Institute, the Hillman Advocacy Program, and the National Institute for Trial Advocacy. He currently serves on Miller Johnson’s Management Committee, Chairs its Wellness Committee, and is the Vice President of the Grand Rapids Bar Association.
