This involved configuring a completely new environment to host the ETL server, its supporting databases, and the reporting server. Once this migration was complete, a significant amount of updates were applied to the ETL process, the underlying data schemas, and finally the reports. These changes were the result of the business process changes and Pentaho improvements available with the upgrade. The end result of this process was the transformation of dozens of data files being collated, summarized and inserted into a SQL Server 2005 database. From this data, over 1000 reports were generated for the client. These reports were used for the planning of the next year's marketing activities.
