After 23 years with Time Magazine (as reporter, correspondent and bureau chief) and eight years with the World Health Organization (as outbreak communication leader, and as the communication adviser to the Director-General) I have both a global and a ground level perspective on science, health and environmental issues, and on emergencies in these fields. I am currently a writer and editor focused largely on global health and climate change.
