Dick Impastato assumed the position of Director of Special Projects after eighteen years as President at Foa & Son.Prior to joining Foa & Son more than 35 years ago, Dick was an underwriter and manager of a major insurance company. His underwriting and brokerage experience gives him a unique ability to view insurance from both an insurer's and a client's perspective.He was elected as a Director, and then as President of the Insurance Brokers' Association of the State of New York. Dick was an Adjunct Associate Professor at the College of Insurance, and served on the Fireman's Fund Insurance Company's Producer Council, and the New York City Council for Professional Insurance Agents.He is featured in "Who's Who in Insurance and Risk Management." Dick gave expert testimony to the U.S. Treasury Department for the "Cost of Terrorism Insurance" hearings in Washington, D.C.A graduate of Otterbein College in Columbus, Ohio, he is actively involved in The American Cancer Society, The Bowery Mission, The Manhattan Playhouse, and is co-founder of a yearly faith-based event in Connecticut, where he makes his home with his wife.
