In a previous life an anthropologist and comparative religionist, I am now a medical doctor, employed as a Consultant in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry since 2002, and now working in multiple different contexts, listed below:1. Medical Director:For the Anna Freud, an internationally renowned charity, working in multiple partnerships and dedicated to innovation in therapeutic practice with children and young people, the evaluation of novel interventions, and the dissemination of best practice through affordable high quality trainings. At the AFNCCF I am Safeguarding Lead, Caldicott Guardian and Responsible Officer (in regard to medical revalidation for medical employees of that charity.)2. Consultant in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry:Clinical lead for nearly 20yrs of a specialist non-clinic-based NHS service: CASUS (Cambridgeshire Child & Adolescent Substance Use Service) - highly-excluded, stigmatised and often risky youth with multiple intersecting needs, operating to AMBIT principles. Previously consultant for Tier 4 Adolescent in-patient units in North East London and then in Cambridge. 3. Clinical Research Fellow, UCLIn relation to the KAILO research programme (https://kailo.community/), a fascinating large multi-centre programme funded by the UKPRP - looking at how to develop a framework to develop novel place-based, systems-informed, participatory design-led interventions, aimed at reducing the incidence of adolescent mental health problems. 3.
