    In 1976, my career in HPC began when I joined the small startup, Cray Research Inc. That winter I'd drive from Minneapolis to Chippewa Falls on a Saturday to get Cray-1 machine time to test software I was writing (in CAL to better schedule vector chaining) before Dick Nelson showed how it needed to be done in the Fortran compiler, then in development. On occasion, Seymour would also be in the Lab. In 2020, it was great to be working at Trovares on an HPE SMP installed in Chippewa! HPE is a great partner! Sub-graph isomorphism runs best on a big shared memory machine, such as Cray used to build back in the day, and the Superdome Flex was then! Now, we run on Power10 as well as HPE SMPs as well as anything that is x86-64 compatible down to laptops. And with Release 2.0, Trovares leverages GenAI with a Desktop graph workstation that is a boon to productivity. Great to be at a startup where like Cray Research back then at the dawn of HPC, Trovares is at the forefront of HPC.
