- Employed under the Weather and Climate Infrastructure Services contract at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) National Centers for Environmental Prediction Central Operations and serve as a member of the Implementation and Data Services Branch Onboarding Team- Install, configure, test and troubleshoot US Weather-Ready Nation applications in a test environment and implement application upgrades in operations on NOAA’s virtual machines at two data centers- Utilize fundamental root cause analysis and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot operational issues for mission-critical systems and resolve complex problems within application software and infrastructure- Analyze program logic to identify areas of improvement in operational applications, integrate new technology, develop data-centric solutions and develop supporting scripts to enhance and optimize the applications, using appropriate programming languages such as Bash, Java, Python, C/C++, and cronjobs in a Linux environment- Maintain large and complex programs/systems by writing scripts that provide key application support, deploy data-driven solutions, and provide feedback to the development organization- Work hand in hand with software developers, system administrators, network engineers, public users, stakeholders, and internal and external customers on a daily basis to provide clear and concise feedback - Project manager of a major software upgrade for the Multi-Radar/Mutli-Sensor System, performing the following tasks:- Gathered software requirements, facilitated strong communication with the National Severe Storms Laboratory’s developers and project managers, performed application resource analysis, wrote and executed end to end testing, briefed NCO management, drafted Service Change Notices, and implemented the application upgrade in a virtualized Linux/Unix environment on IDP Systems in both the testing and production environment

Under the guidance of Professor Matthew Huber:Develop training tools centering on Findable, Accessible, Interpol table, and Reusable (FAIR) science.Design and create climate learning modules for Synda, ESMValTool, and futureheatwaves. Build upon foundational learning modules on Python, R, Jupyter Notebook, GitHub, Docker, and Anaconda. These modules will be available to students and scientist around the country in the form of Cybertraining through online workshops, videos, and courses.

• Works under the guidance of Professor Agee• Using NARR Reanalysis Data to perform a climatological assessment of terms in the significant tornado parameter. • Write programs in Python to manipulate the data to produce maps and histograms for different time periods and box areas.• Computes analysis tests to examine significance of the parameter change over the time period to determine their involvement in the shift of tornado alley.

• Worked under the guidance of Professor Yutian Wu• Analyzed different arctic region’s sea ice variability and its impact on midlatitude circulation and hydrological cycle using data from the National Snow and Ice Data Center, ERA Interim, and Global Prediction Climatology Project. • Sea Ice concentration was detrended using NCL to check for statistical significance of the linear trend line. • Detrended U-Velocity (and Precipitation) was regressed on the detrended sea ice concentration for each region to plot correlation with Matlab.
