Goodness Dickson is a dedicated environmentalist and an Information Technology Professional from Nigeria, with over five years of experience in community development and Information Management in the non-profit sector and ICT Industry. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Information Management Technology from Modibbo Adama University, Yola; A certified environmental educator from Cornell University and an alumnus of the Oxford Climate Society, he has also been trained as a Climate Reality Leader by former U.S. Vice President Al Gore. Goodness has represented his cause as a delegate at COY17, COP27, COP28 and COP29; while advocating for the SDGs in schools and communities, he has researched energy transition in Africa.As the CEO and Founder of the Eco Clean Active Initiative (ECA) with UNFCCC Status, Goodness has led a dynamic team in advocating for environmental sustainability. Under his leadership, ECA has engaged over 200 young people in developing innovative solutions to combat environmental issues and climate change through creating awareness about the environment, recycling waste, planting trees, and developing a clean renewable energy project that promotes the environment's welfare and enhances a sustainable environment. He designed the Climate Action Activation in Schools and Communities project which was implemented in three States of Nigeria and has activated over 600 students and pupils in taking climate action. He also designed the Eco Clean for MAPA project for mostly affected people and areas in Nigeria that reached thousands of people in twenty-three communities of Nigeria.Previously, Goodness worked as an I.T. instructor with the Federal Information Resource Center, in Nigeria. Also, he interned with Galaxy Backbone, Nigeria in the fiber unit. Furthermore, he has worked in the mainstream media with Adamawa Television Corporation, Nigeria. Goodness has volunteered as an SDGs advocate and community mobilizer in organizations and groups.Goodness bagged an award of recognition for humanitarian services and has effectively utilized both local and international media to amplify the voices of climate activists and communities most impacted by the climate crisis. His work has honed his skills in youth leadership, community development, and research. Driven by a strong passion for community and youth empowerment, Goodness is committed to achieving social impact by advocating for those most affected by the climate crisis, mitigating its effects in vulnerable communities, and fostering the next generation of leaders.
