As a Process Safety Chemical Engineering Intern, I supported various entry-level engineering assignments, where I:- Analyzed Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and isolated systems based on overpressure boundaries.- Created Process Safety Flow Diagrams (PSFDs) based on isolated systems using Visio.- Identified overpressure scenarios based on PSFDs- Inputted raw and calculated data from client databases into in-house software (SALUS) to support relief valve sizing and analysis.- Simulated process flow data using Aspen Hysys to identify unknown variables and integrating findings into SALUS.- Communicated with clients to clarify data requirements, including resolving issues with missing or inaccurate data.
