• Specializing in structuring and evaluating tenders. Involvement in the tender process of drafting tender specifications, calling for tender, corrigendum, closing, evaluating and awarding of tender.• Drafting of report on the impacts of climate change and recommendation of mitigation measures for JTC assets, for the National climate change secretariat (Resilience Working Group).• Liaison with external parties, both consultants and contractors.• Understanding the Environmental Monitoring and Management Plan and Environmental Impact Assessment conducted on several land reclamation projects.• Involvement in an innovation project on Autonomous Submersible Monitoring Vehicles used to enhance environmental monitoring by reducing cost and manpower.• Liaise with contractor to perform soil investigation on off-shore location. The program reinforced my concepts on chemical plant processes and equipped me with the necessary skills to operate a live plant and conduct troubleshooting in the event of a plant upset. The comprehensive coverage of coursework served as a useful hands on practice which prepares me for field work in the petrochemical industry.
