I specialized in front-end development and user experience design for music and e-book web applications, utilizing HTML, CSS (SASS), and jQuery. My role involved working closely with the Graphic Designer and User Experience Director to address UX requirements and implement enhancements that improved the usability and overall user experience of the applications.In collaboration with a third-party remote backend development team, I integrated HTML, CSS, and jQuery into the CakePHP framework, using Skype for effective communication and coordination. Code versioning was managed through GitHub, ensuring seamless updates and collaboration across the team. I also worked with the Project Manager to align code updates with the Agile workflow and used Asana for efficient task and ticket management.Additionally, I developed a custom streaming music plugin using Flash, featuring Play, Pause, Previous, Next, and Volume controls. The plugin tracked users’ streaming activity, displayed usage messages, disabled controls when the streaming threshold was reached, and synced data with a remote server. This functionality enhanced the user experience while providing essential usage tracking and control features.

I contributed to the quality assurance of email campaigns and websites, ensuring that all deliverables met high standards of functionality and design. My technical expertise included PSD to HTML development for email campaigns and the integration of responsive design into websites to enhance user experience across devices.My role involved both front-end and back-end development, utilizing HTML, CSS, jQuery, and WordPress, with additional experience in creating Facebook tabs/pages and developing Drupal blocks. Code versioning was managed using Subversion, enabling efficient collaboration and version control within the development team.I worked closely with designers to address updates and changes to creative elements as needed, and I partnered with Account Executives to resolve issues and ensure timely completion of updates. Task and ticket management were handled through Workamajig, streamlining project workflows and ensuring alignment with team objectives.

Additionally, I developed seasonal and quarterly “splash page” campaigns and promotional emails, involving PSD-to-HTML/CSS conversion and integration into Sears’ CMS, WebSphere.Collaboration was key to my role, as I worked closely with Account Executives and Designers to address issues and implement updates to advertisements. I also participated in an on-call rotation to handle urgent needs and updates outside regular business hours, completing such tasks remotely when required.I conducted weekly quality assurance reviews of team members’ work to ensure high standards and consistency, often working under tight deadlines. CoolWallStreet was a stock market simulator website designed to get people who wouldn't normally be interested in the stock market because of a lack of education and resources interested by offering an environment that was free, educational, and fun. Users who signed up for the service would download software that when opened would run PPC ads in exchange for 'CWS dollars' which could then be used to 'buy' the stocks on the simulator. When a user gained enough profit, they could use their CWS dollars to buy e-books, small cash prizes, and other items.My roles were providing customer service and technical support for website and software via email, managing site content and client-side software content using a content management system, and entering stock data for site stock simulator. I created custom process for entering data for stocks, reducing time spent entering data from 30 minutes to less than 5 minutes.
