Lead Technical Installer
For the first 12 months of this role was Lead for the commissioning of new Hotel Property Management System (PMS) throughout the UK and Ireland (HUKI) involving replacement of servers, network infrastructure and workstations throughout the estate.I was involved in the initial testing and fault diagnosis of various aspects of the system whilst actively pushing the technology forward to the hotels as a test, prior to release to the rest of the world estate in Hilton.Since the completion of this I have been responsible for implementing various hardware/software fixes throughout the estate through remote support / on-site visits where necessary.More recently have pushed Citrix technology to 2/3rd of the HUKI estate in a very aggressive time frame involving a central server configuration team in Glasgow and then subsequent site visits to deploy each server in its final destination. This technology has seen a dramatic reduction in staffing and hardware costs and allows Hilton to centralize certain functions of their departments. The most recent project I have been involved in is to deploy a single Active Directory solution across the HUKI estate. This has been a very demanding process on time with the entire team due to the volume of administration involved with 26,000 active accounts to be created / modified, verified and distributed. My main involvement was to develop a tool (VBA) to collate and analyse from various existing systems within Hilton the necessary information empowering local IT teams with the necessary data to track the status of each hotels accounts. This has now been identified as essential for the process as it is pushed out to the world estate of hotels.Within the past 9 months of working for Hilton I have been assigned various project management roles involving budget control, vendor/contractor liaison and ensuring end to end completion of the work required. This has been a good challenge in a new area of the business and project lifecycle

In addition to this supply our new European customers with semi / automated systems to capture their incoming data. Even though this role was primarily managerial it did however involve a level of hands-on work allowing me to ensure technology and support practices were not lost.Major achievements in this role to date include reduction of manual processing within these sites by an average of 20%. Development of integrated MIS and Accounts information for the whole capture process. Improvement of development time for processes by an average of 40% by creation of modularized packages.Reason for leaving - Redundancy
