NuScriptRX (p/k/a New Day Pharmacy) was founded to dramatically improve the way pharmacy services were provided to LTC facilities through a combination of technology and process innovation. • Benefits included: immediate access to newly ordered medications 24/7/365; cut med pass time by 50%; reduced drug waste by as much as 80%; improved patient safety; and reduced cost.• Created the first central distribution hub for LTC pharmacy with nationwide service. • Raised over $10M from private and institutional investors. to fund growth.• Directly responsible for growing the business to ten states with annual revenue of approximately $50M.• Sold the company to a venture capital group and guided the successful transition.

Spearheaded all facets of company operations targeting improvements in operational and financial performance for company large SNF with $12M in revenue, and its extensive management consulting services to independent SNFs, ALFs, and CCRCs. • Developed and tested the prototype processes and business plan that became New Day Pharmacy. • Transformed a large multi-issue SNF facing a $500,000 cut in reimbursement, by creating greater efficiency and quality, and by expanding services, doubling quality mix and increased profitability by 17%. • Directed the financial turn-around of a public LTC company’s SNF division on behalf of its creditors.• Provided consulting and training to large non-profit CCRC campus towards the development and successful execution of a business plan that achieved their census and revenue goals. • Designed the QAIMSM organizational management system. Implemented QAIMSM in client companies with the result of measureable improvement in all aspects of organizational effectiveness.

CEO/President (1997 - 2001) Owner/Board Member (1997 - 2007)• Led the acquisition effort for new facilities resulting in a 16 facilities in five years.• Created an ancillary medical supply company and an institutional pharmacy company from scratch.• Successfully submitted a CON for a geri-psych unit and operated it in a Nashville hospital. • Developed proprietary real-time clinical/operational/financial/HR metrics tracking and response systems. • Became an early adopter of system wide EMR in 2001. • Grew the company profitably at a time when many others in the industry went bankrupt (Medicare PPS implementation).

Initially served as Division VP over 50 facilities in 8 states with full P&L, operations and clinical responsibility. Progressed to COO with full responsibility for over all 180 facilities, including operations, clinical services, HR and marketing. Facilities included SNF, ALF, IL, and home health.• Lead the cultural and organizational changes to become a high-acuity service provider over a three-year period more than doubling SNF certifications to 97% of facilities and Medicare’s portion of company-wide revenue grew by 260%. • Directed operations and the evolution of company structure and resources during a five year period when the company grew by 80 individual acquisitions or newly built facilities, more than doubling revenues to $800 million.• Developed highly effective systems for taking on newly acquired and for opening new constructed facilities that was recognized as essential to the company’s success during a time of rapid growth.• Championed the mission of a positive and engaged work force. Successfully prevented unionization attempts and won the elections where they occurred. In 4 of 5 instances, employees of newly acquired facilities voted to decertify their unions within 24 months of experiencing our methods of leadership. • Initiated many improvement opportunities, leading teams to develop systems, programs or resources to rapidly take advantage of them i.e. developed and implemented a state-of-the-art computerized clinical management system with 100 indicators; created an innovative employee safety/work comp program that saved $2M.
