Professor Dicky Shek is an accomplished scholar and business leader with extensive experience in the technology industry, specifically in Greater China and the APJ regions. He has 30 years of executive and academic experience and has managed multi-billion-dollar businesses. Prior to joining the academia, Professor Shek worked for several startups (FinTech, TechFin, Catering, Education) and five Fortune 100 companies, including IBM, Compaq Computer, Dell, Cisco Systems, and NTT Group. He has also spent 11 years based in various cities across mainland China.Professor Shek is a highly regarded speaker, trainer, coach, mentor, judge, and advisor. He actively engages in a wide range of activities, including seminars, workshops, entrepreneurship competitions, incubation programs, and collaborations with public and private organizations.Currently, Prof. Shek holds the position of Professor of Practice (Management Information Systems) at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He also serves as the External Examiner of HKU SPACE, External Academic Advisor of UOW College Hong Kong, Academic Advisor of Edvantage Institute Australia, and Executive Advisory Board Member of Greater Bay Area MedTech Association.
