Didi Davis was Sr. Director of IHE for the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) and part of senior management. Her responsibilities included financial and strategic planning for all execution and direction of the Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE) initiative. This included responsibility for the four domains that HIMSS sponsored (IT Infrastructure-ITI, Patient Care Coordination-PCC, Patient Care Devices-PCD, and Quality, Research, and Public Health-QRPH. These domains and their related projects, activities and committees within HIMSS along with the deployment activities such as the Interoperability Showcases. Mrs. Davis was responsible for the 2004-2009 Interoperability Showcases for HIMSS held globally in the US, Europe and Asia.

Mrs. Davis was employed by Eclipsys Corporation as Director, IT Product Strategies where her responsibilities encompassed the interpretation of various industry integration standards and technology direction with regards to platform architecture, applications and their integration strategies. She was responsible for intepreting standards and ensuring their adoption within the Eclipsys development process. Mrs. Davis also worked with the Sales and Marketing organization to provide technical sales and marketing support interacting with approximately 1200 of 1500 customers of Eclipsys. She joined Eclipsys in 1997.

Eclipsys purchased MSI Solutions and the eWebIT suite of technologies used for interface development, web site development/design and single sign-on to multiple platforms in 1999. Prior to the Eclipsys purchase, was responsible for project management, interface development, and technical sales support for the suite of eWebIT tools. Projects included development of HL7, DICOM, RS232, TCP/IP and Screenscrape interfaces for hospital systems, insurance companies, banks, and reference lab customers. Expanded initial customer engagement for Unum Provident Insurance Company based in Chattanooga, TN from one contracted interface to over 100 interfaces resulting in one year of work to integrate a custom designed call center to cover various lines of insurance. Was responsible for 14 systems analysts during the project timeline prior to the Eclipsys purchase. Also worked with product developers of eWebIT to troubleshoot and enhance tool capabilities for new adapters provided as part in parcel of the tool suite. The eWebIT tools enabled a comprehensive integration solution that provided Web-based composite view of data from different information systems, data sharing among disparate information systems, and enterprise security and single system sign-on capabilities.
