First education (1974-1979) as a civil engineer; large experience in calculations, laboratory investigations, field investigation, measurements interpretation and back-analysis related to underground constructions. Doctoral thesis (1992-1999) in applied science, accomplished in parallel to full-time work. Coordinator of international projects with focus on keeping a good balance between the partners' wishes and the global common target of the project.Since 2001 and until 2022 : international representation within Europe and outside of MYRRHA, an high-level scientific project. Belgian representative (2004 - 2022) of two working groups at the International Atomic Energy Agency. Part-time lecturer (2000-2010) at the Université Catholique de Louvain and at the Université Libre de Bruxelles. Co-author of more than 200 publications and presentations at national and international level (in French, Dutch, English and German).
