As Team Lead Infrastructure I manage a team of around 10 specialists. The team is specialized in IT infrastructure projects, such as, Cloud, Virtualized Desktops and Datacenter (Network, compute, storage).The team started working a lot better after the introduction of an Agile/Scrum method of working. Using JIRA we optimized the way tasks are assigned and worked upon.One of our biggest achievements is the migration of a complete datacenter to Azure in the Middle-East. This included the (virtual) server park, but also the vritualized desktops from Citrix to Horizon.

As System Engineering Team Lead I manage a team of around 10 specialists. The team is specialized in IT infrastructure incidents, changes and projects, such as, Cloud, Virtualized Desktops and Datacenter (Network, compute, storage).One of the biggest achievements is the datacenter migration project, where we changed cages within the datacenter. We also had to renew the underlying hardware (servers, storage, network) and introduced firewalls at the same time. We managed to do this in two weekends, with as little downtime as possible.

As an engineer I worked on incidents, changes and projects.- Created a new network within Steinweg NL, based on Cisco equipment. This is a network of over 200 switches.- Installed different models of Fortigate firewalls managed by FortiManager throughout the network.- Implemented Citrix XenApp 5 (with full automatic installation)- Packaged software MSI packages- Implemented Vmware ESX + vCenter- Further implemented Active Directory (AD, DFS-R, DFS-N, GPO's, etc)- Implemented active-active datacenters from the ground up- Implemented Vmware Horizon
