Current2015-2016 Lead Design and Test Engineer on prototype folding propeller for drone applications. -Developed new reusable test fixturing techniques for MTS pull testing.-Designed and built a new engine test cells to run a propeller endurance test.-Worked with mold injection specialist for rapid prototyping 2015-2019 Design Engineer on Development 7 Blade Composite Propeller.-Worked hands-on with McCauley Columbus manufacturing facility outsourcing materials and working through developmental composite blade design.-Successfully completed contract requirements to build and test propeller in adherence with Part 35 FAA requirements. (This was not an FAA Certified Propeller)2015-2019 Design and Test Engineer on 5 Blade Composite Denali Propeller. -Reduced blade stress by changing blade root geometry and improving the bond between composite and metal components. -Completed Development and Part 35 certification testing in 2 CF Whirl, 1.5 CF Spin Test, Hub Fatigue testing. -Designed and built a hydraulic test bench to run a new pitch cycle test. Programed Aero 90 Controller to read torque from rotary actuators and pressure into the propeller piston to simulate the internal propeller control system.-Worked closely with part manufacturers to resolve issues and reduce scrap rate.
