Teach Soil Science Lab

• Utilized the overall school data to assess student achievement, behaviors, demographics, programs, and staff perceptions. This helped in facilitating decision making process leading to the improvement of teaching and learning in general. • Wrote and developed teacher evaluation rubrics for Q-comp program.• Conducted comprehensive needs assessment for school.• Worked closely with the executive director, to assess & analyze student achievement data, & monitored Annual Yearly Progress (AYP), • Coordinated accelerated reader program, Q-Comp program, and after school programs.• Monitored and wrote grants-six grants were successful,• Wrote reports, & conducted parent satisfaction surveys• Coordinated after school programs for youth (career choice & guidance). • Supervised AmeriCorps Promise Fellows, a grant supported programs working with youth and community, to provide: (civic engagement activities implement and manage community volunteer & mentoring, increase better communication and develop community wide strategies to bridge achievement gap between students).

Graduate level course: Methods for Change in Developing Countries (3-credits)The course focuses on sociological and cultural parameters as they pertain to promoting the adoption of improved practices in rural community, International agriculture, and program development, including formal and informal education institutions; project planning, implementation, and evaluation related to actual change and development situations.

My primary responsibility was to deliver educational programs supporting the local mission of University of Illinois Extension. I worked independently and as a team member with other Extension educators, Extension specialists, and unit leaders to assess needs, determine program priorities and deliver high quality programs in the assigned counties (Henderson/Warren/Mercer, Fulton, McDonough, Hancock, Schuyler, Adams/Brown & Pike).My specific selected responsibilities were:• To develop educational materials and curriculum and provide learning opportunities and activities to support extension goals• To cooperate with Extension educators, Extension specialists and unit staff in conducting evaluations for program improvement, impact analysis and accountability. Share the results with local groups, decision-makers and administrators• To collaborate with other Extension Educators to assess needs, develop, organize, implement and evaluate educational programs for youth and adults• To utilize available program delivery methods including radio, newspapers, newsletters, meetings, workshops, publications, field/home/office visits, computer, telephone and other means deemed effective to provide educational information to individuals and groups• To conduct and interpret applied research in extension education, alone or in cooperation with Extension educators, Extension specialists and university faculties.
