I'm one of four Founding Members of KMD. We are a tech startup specializing in Web development, hosting, and site management. We are particularly focussed on Wordpress. I had previously taught a couple of semesters of COBOL for ECPC. I was one of their graduates that they called for feedback as to how they should direct their current students. I mentioned that one of their recent graduates, a new hire at the City, needed to know more about SQL. So they had me design and teach one semester of night classes on the subject. I created the curriculum to include database normalization and design concepts, plus SQL query and update commands. My goal was for the students to leave with basic knowledge that would be a help to them as they began their programming careers.
