As a Medical Scribe at Franciscan Health in Lafayette, Indiana, I work alongside healthcare providers to ensure accurate and thorough documentation of patient encounters. I assist physicians by inputting detailed medical information, including patient histories, physical exams, diagnostic test results, and treatment plans, into electronic health records (EHR). My role supports efficient workflow and allows providers to focus more on patient care. Through this position, I’ve gained valuable insight into clinical processes, medical terminology, and the dynamics of patient-provider interactions, all while contributing to the overall quality of patient documentation and care.

As a Teaching Intern, I lead two sections of the Fundamentals of Biology Laboratories. At the start of each lab, I present pre-lab slides to provide students with an overview of the key concepts and the day's experiment. I also assist students who encounter difficulties with the experiments, offering detailed explanations to ensure they fully grasp the concepts being covered. In addition, I handle grading for the two sections I teach each week. To stay prepared, I attend weekly staff meetings every Monday, where we plan for the upcoming lab.
