As the Manager of the Data Science for Amazon Candidate Connection Services team, I led the development of a new data pipeline and the creation of machine learning models to analyze over 2 million conversations with candidates seeking support. The insights generated from this analysis helped identify and correct 69 defects impacting 200k+ candidates. By addressing these issues, we achieved a 30% reduction in candidate complaints, resulting in a $1.9M Opex reduction.Additionally, I developed an analytics apprenticeship program to expand the skillset of L3-L6 employees. This program enabled these team members to handle basic analytics tasks and provided a pathway for nominated employees to transition into full-time analytics professional roles.

In six months, I led a transformative project in LATAM's T1 recruiting operations. I implemented an analytics strategy to enable informed decisions for direct associates hiring. I developed a robust reporting structure using AWS Services to enable the field team with a powerful tracking tool to monitor key metrics, and make data-driven decisions. The new reporting structure impact allowed the team to efficiently manage the direct hiring of over 6,000 associates during peak season.

As a Technical Product Manager, I led a team of 4 highly skilled engineers to define a roadmap that would integrate cutting-edge technology and meet critical requirements for the next generation of control systems and accessories. I collaborated closely with the engineering and research team to assess the latest advancements in fuel systems, sensors, control, and prognostic technologies, carefully weighing their potential benefits and trade-offs.Drawing on the contributions to the preliminary design of aircraft engines, I grew the team to 15 direct reports and 35 total engineers to execute new product development projects. I established strategic alliances with external technology partners, research institutions, and industry leaders, including the design and funding of the first advanced control systems laboratory of its kind in Mexico, developed in conjunction with the local government.
