A Power engineer's role is to deal with the maintenance of various power equipment such as high powered generator engines, air conditioning units, lighting and AC/DC hardware (e.g. Batteries and UPS systems). My apprenticeship consists of learning from and shadowing my colleagues in order to develop my skills and gain confidence in performing tasks for the role.

Assist customers with any technical enquiries and guiding them to a product that they are seeking. I work within a team, who communicate via radio headsets; we use these to alert each other if we need any assistance (e.g. help with a customer, cover the tills and help carrying heavy products). Whenever one of my colleagues asks for help, I am always one of the first to respond. Some of the things I do include using the paint mixer, attaining product codes for colleagues, getting/replacing gas bottles for customers and volunteering to assist the front if they need an extra cashier.
