Project: Information Retrieval in Time Series DatabasesUse of big data technologies (Hadoop, Hive, MapReduce) to build a retrieval system for multivariate time series data. The project used power consumption data from 35 million houses in France since1990. As a result, the system allowed to retrieve the most similar time series given a specified pattern in seconds instead of days.In concrete my responsibilities were:- Design, analysis and implementation of a retrieval system for multivariate time series.- Use of Hadoop technology to parallelize and improve the time response of the retrieval system- Design and implementation of different tests to define the most appropiate indexing technique for EDF’s time series data.

- Using of data mining techniques in centralized and distributed contexts.- Design, analysis and implementation of data Mining techniques applied to the health care sector in Colombia.- Develop of ETL tasks and cubes in order to support the decision making process for public health specialists- Implementation of cubes and reporting tools for monitoring the treatment of high cost diseases in Colombia.
