I lead various remediation related projects from setting up the proposal up to construction. As PL I was responsible for maintaining the client up to date, project progress, coordinating different subcontractors and internal financial reporting. I carried out these tasks following the Arcadis project management methodology. Because my team worked regularly as a contractor my priority was to keep a clear overview of the risks, expectations and decisions with the clients as with the subcontractors. A couple of highlights from my projects are: - Sustainable ground water remediation on storage site. H&S, design, construct and operate. Port of Amsterdam- Consultancy and evaluation of H&S plan and remediation of a heavy metal contamination in an urban center. Patagonia, Argentina.- Construction of piping system and rental of Soil vapor extraction installation on a explosion risk contamination site for a steal industry client. In a collaboration project between KWR, VU Amsterdam and Wetsus I carried out scientific research on the clogging of drinking water wells by ironhydroxides in Dutch and Flamish drinking water utilities. I performed fieldwork on well fields of 10 different water uitlities and characterized iron chemistry with a.o. Raman Spectroscopy, XRF, Electron microscopy, and OE Spectroscopy. With this research I studied the effects of well operation on the formation of clogging iron-hydroxides, the variation of clogging precipitates in Dutch and Flamish well fieldsincluding determination and the relation of iron-hydroxide formation to water chemistry.Some highlights of my project are:- Development of hydrochemical well profiling instrument- Development of a in-situ sampling instrument for incrustations in wells- Coordination and realization of fieldwork with a team of managers, hydrologists and well technicians from several water utilities in the Netherlands and Flanders.- Publication of findings in a high impact hydrology journal on half-sided clogging of drinking water wells in Limburg, the Netherlands.

After 1 year in the field I grew into the position of junior project engineer. I delivered input for detailed design plans, coordinated fieldwork and analyzed the progress of ongoing remediations.Some highlights of my work:- Fieldwork and reporting of a steam injection remediation at an oil and gas storage site in the Port of Amsterdam.
