Associate Human Resources Generalist
Current1. Support Newark (CA), Fremont (CA), and Austin (TX) plants with onboarding, training, benefits, compensation, employee relations, performance appraisals and data management. This includes regular and temporary employees.2. Support the recruiting team by opening job requisitions and posting them on job boards. Screen candidates and supply resumes to management. Own the onboarding process including sending offer letter and new hire documents.3. Conduct orientation and background checks for new hires, verify I-9s documents, perform exit interviews and process terminations including calculation of worked hours and vacation benefits.4. Perform compensation analysis/market data review, applicant tracking reports, Worker’s Compensation reporting and case management, leave of absences and employee investigations.5. Work with The Standard to determine employee eligibility in relation to sick leave, Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), short term disability and long term disability. Ensure that all records and updates are properly documented and entered into human resources system (HRIS)6. Work with Liberty Mutual for Workers’ Compensation Administration including filing initial claim, keeping track of all related paperwork, following up with all parties until claim is resolved7. Administer employee status changes, promotions, transfers, salary increases and bonus payments into human resources system (HRIS)8. Responsible for responses to various government agencies: unemployment, disability, audits, garnishments, employment verifications.
