Diego is a CPA licensed in US and Argentina, holds a Masters in Business Administration and is a Certified Internal Auditor. He is fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese.Since June 2011, he is the CFO for Chesapeake Mission Critical, directing the Accounting, Finance and HR functions. In October 2021 he was promoted to COO, adding all service and support fulfillment responsibilities.From July 2010 to June 2011, Diego worked at Fiberight (a bio tech start up) as CFO and VP Finance. He completed 4 years consolidated financial statements audited by a big four.From July 2009 to March 2010, Diego provided Finance and M&A support to Merkle's CFO.Diego joined Laureate in 2007 as Director for Business Integration and Controller Asia Region. He successfully led a variety of complex assignments including a company wide lease and real estate restatement, He also directed, US GAAP conversions from various local GAAPs, Brazilian operations integration, Germany post acquisitions integration and Malaysia operations due diligence and integration planning.He worked 9 years for Royal Ahold NV (Dutch retailer) in a variety of positions with increased and progressive responsibilities: he started as Chief Accounting Officer for a $2 billion dollar operation in Argentina, Chief Internal Auditor, Corporate Director Internal Audit for Latin America (based out of Recife, Brazil) and Corporate Director Internal Audit for US Foodservice (Maryland, USA). Diego was a key player in the acquisition and aggressive growth process of Ahold in the Latin American region as well as to its divestiture due to Ahold’s crisis. Diego was a key player in Ahold’s remediation process that ended with the successful divestiture of US Foodservice in 2007. In 1988m he started his career in Buenos Aires, Argentina, at PwC. He stayed at the firm for five years. He was exposed to a variety of industries while successfully performing challenging assignments. Diego left PwC to join a local TV Cable company as Regional CFO.
